Multan, Sindh, mid to late 19th century

Of octagonal shape, painted in cobalt blue on a white ground framed within a turquoise border, covering a red earthenware body, the calligraphy reading 'In the name of Allah, the Benevolent the Merciful (bismillah al-rahman al-rahim), Muhammad, Ali, Fatima, Hassan, Hussein', 37.5cm x 37.5cm.
