TWO CHINESE FUJIANESE LACQUER FIGURES.

Republic period.

The first carved as a bearded Immortal standing on a jugged rocky base, wearing flowing robes and holding a branch of peach tree ladden with fruit, the second an image of Budai Heshang, comfortably seated on an integral base, wearing monk's robes, with a broad smile between his elongated earlobes, clasping a string of prayer beads in his right hand, the Buddha with a circular Seng Shao mark to the base, 21cm H. (2)
