Safavid Iran, 17th - 18th century

Of square shape, painted in cobalt blue, yellow, green and manganese black against a white ground, the decoration featuring a central rosette medallion spraying into intertwined stylised lotus flowers, the scrolling vegetal sprays further enhanced with rosettes and serrated leaves, 23.5cm x 23.5cm.
