An early 20th century German 900 standard silver and guilloche enamel cigarette case, Pforzheim circa 1906, retailed by Marton of Budapest

of square form with bowed sides, the top with translucent brown guilloche enamel, then with a painted enamel scene of the painting Hetera by Francizsek Zmurko (Polish 1859-1910), a bare-chested woman is a chiffon gown in the Art Nouveau style, signed ‘Fra Zmurko 1906’. Gilt interior with engraved flowers and later inscription dated 1952. Marked with German crown and crescent, ‘900’ and Marton Budapest.
