A mid-20th century Chinese export silver bottle and shots set on tray, the bottle and shots, Zhu Hai circa 1950
Republic period. Comprising a bottle, six tots or small beakers, and a tray. The bottle of inverted baluster form with a tall waisted neck with pull out stopper with cork interior, the tots of tapering cylindrical form. The bottle with embossed decoration of a trailing Chinese dragon amidst clouds all against a ring punched textured ground, the bottle neck flat chased with clouds. The tots with cast and applied decoration of the same. The tray of shaped oval form upon four small hemispherical feet, the broad edge worked the same, the field with a flat chased dragon. The bottle and tots each marked underneath 珠海 (ZHU HAI), the tray with a different partially obscured mark. (8)
