A CHINESE QINGBAI SHUFU-STYLE BOWL

Potted with deep sides rising from a short foot to a flared rim, the interior decorated with a faint design to the centre enclosed by a band of petals around the cavetto, covered in an aqua-coloured glaze that stops short of the rim, the base unglazed

NOTE:
The form of this bowl closely resembles the shufu wares of the Yuan Dynasty, with a short foot supported a flat plateau that rises to deep, flared sides, although the glaze is typical of qingbai wares in its translucency.
See a shufu bowl with a similar construction offered at Christie's New York, 14th - 15th September 2017, lot 1174, and another in the same rooms, 25th March 2022, lot 1037. Sotheby's Hong Kong also offered a similarly-structured bowl, 27th November 2020, lot 329.
The British Museum holds a similar bowl in the collection, no. PDF,A.455.
