A Victorian sterling silver tea caddy, London 1893, by Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co overstriking Walter & John Barnard

Of ogee rectangular form, raised on four ball feet, the body with fluted corners and a cavetto top with ovolo rim with ribbon and reed sections. The hinged domed lid surmounted by a detachable wooden fluted knop finial. The front engraved with a crest of an agnus dei, above a motto Innocens Non Timidus. Fully marked to side and part-marked to lid interion. Stamped underneath Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Company 112 Regent St 412 and Rd No 94116.

Length – 12.4 cm / 4.8 inches

Weight – 331 grams / 10.64 ozt
