Opaque pigments heightened with gold on paper, the vertical composition depicting Rama and Sita seated under a golden pavilion studded with gems and pearls, Rama holding a bow and arrow (his typical attributes), Sita a flower, surrounded by a crowd of loyal followers and courtiers including Rama's brother Lakshmana and the Monkey King Sugriva, in the foreground Hanuman bowing down in respect, pasted on a later album page with concentric polychrome rules and illuminated decorative borders, accompanied by an old inventory label in German from an auction taken place in Leipzig in 1939, 39cm x 27cm.
