A CHINESE WUCAI 'QILIN' JAR.

Ming Dynasty, six character Wanli mark probably of the period.

The ovoid body painted with a continuous landscape populated by blue and green scaly qilin beneath pine trees, a band of lotus scrolls encircling the foot and cash to the rim, all supported on a flat base with a recessed roundel containing the underglaze blue mark, 14.5cm diameter. 10cm H.
