A mid-19th century Chinese export silver standing cup, Canton circa 1860, retailed by Hei Ch’eung Hing
Qing dynasty. Of rounded form upon a pedestal spreading circular foot. The body with applied and chased decoration of various figures against magnolia trees, and various architecture including a pagoda, a shield shape cartouche engraved with a contemporaneous inscription reading “Presented to E.H.B. by W.A.B”. The foot with chased fruiting vine. Double skinned interior. Marked to the inside of the foot rim with a retailer’s mark HCH.
