A late 19th / early 20th century Chinese export silver covered bowl, Canton circa 1900, marked Bo, retailed by Wang Hing
Qing dynasty. Of compressed circular form with a moulded rim. The pull off domed lid surmounted by a Chinese Dragon head finial with saw cut frills heightened with engraving, wrought work horns, the cast and applied body on to the lid amidst clouds. The sides with cast and applied Chinese dragons amidst clouds chasing the sacred pearl. Marked underneath with artisan mark 伯 (BO), numeral 95, and retailer’s mark WH.
