A Catherine II Russian late 18^th century 84 Zolotnik (875 standard) silver vodka cup (Charka), Moscow 1774 by Г. З, probably the son of Gavril Gavrilov

Of oval quatrefoil lobed form, upon a collet foot with an applied C scroll handle. The body with flat-chased decoration of rocaille scroll cartouches, gilt interior. Fully marked underneath with the assayer mark for Ivan Saveliev (active 1772-78) and alderman’s mark of Fedor Petrov (active 1759-84).
