Various Photographers c.1870-1890s CEYLON - TOPOGRAPHICAL & ETHNOGRAPHIC INTEREST, c.1870-1890s, a collection of loose albumen prints flush mounted onto card (24), approx 280mm x 210mm (largest), 120mm x 100mm (smallest) ethnographic portraits include; Buddhists, Devil Dancers, Kanydan Chiefs, Sinhalese fishermen, Hackery, Farmers, A native Coconut Oil mill, locations include Colombo, Kandy, Ratnapura and the Coast, Photographers mostly Scowen & Co. Colombo Apothecaries, also included with the lot; R.B Holmes (1888-1973) gelatin silver print, of 'The Old Pathan' c.1920, image size, 290mm x 210mm flush mounted on contemporary card  from his views taken in and around Peshawar and the North-West Frontier, India/Afghanistan
