A PAIR OF 19TH CENTURY FRENCH DIEPPE IVORY ALLEGORICAL FIGURES OF DAY AND NIGHT the figure of Day unveiling herself, a floral sprig in her left hand and a winged putto at her feet also holding flowers, the figure of Night shrouding herself, also with a winged putto at her feet, both raised on spreading cylindrical plinths,  23cm high (2) THIS LOT IS SUBJECT TO CITES This pair of figures are almost identical to a pair offered at Bonhams, London, 2 November 2011, lot 52, except that the accompanying putti are slightly different, but they were surely carved by the same hand.
