Iran and Ottoman Provinces, early 18th to late 19th century
Mostly of square shape, one rectangular and mounted on transparent plexiglass, all painted in a variety of colours including cobalt blue, yellow, turquoise, manganese purple, green and black, the decorations consisting mostly of flower heads, leafy sprays and interlocking vegetal trellis, aviary motifs on two tiles, all square tiles approximately 24cm x 24cm, the rectangular tile 41cm x 11cm excluding the mount.
