A mid-20^th century Iraqi silver and niello compact, Omara circa 1940

Of circular form, the hinged lid with a niello and engraved scene of the Abu Hanifa al in Nu'man, Baghdad. The obverse a niello scene of sailing boats, signed Omara, Saad, below engraved initials M.A.E. Together with another Iraqi compact, the lid with a heart shaped cartouche with niello decoration of camels, the reverse with a scene of a sailing boat below engraved initials R.W.B. (2)
