A mid-19th century Portuguese silver snuffers tray, Porto circa 1855 by MAS (unidentified V. 1396)
Peter V period. Of shaped broadly oblong form raised upon four ball feet. The body with embossed decoration of flower heads to the ends and a vacant circular cartouche with a fluted surround. Marked to the reverse with assay mark of Manuel da Silva (reg. 1853, V.98), makers mark (V.1396) and assay scrape.
