An early 20^th century Iraqi silver and niello cigarette case, Basra circa 1930 signed Zahroon

Of rectangular form with rounded corners. The front with an engraved motif of interlaced roses, encircled below roses, cornered with niello scenes of camels, fishermen in their mashoof, a boatman in a gufa and a sailing boat. The obverse with a star within crossed laurel topped with the crown of Iraq, with arabic reading "The Iraq Police", cornered with engraved bunches of roses. Signed to lower left.
