A QASHQAI RUG, SOUTH-WEST PERSIA

The rust red field with linked angular rosettes, triangles and small floral sprays, around hooked floral panel with hooked floral centerpiece. Indigo linked spandrels with hooked palmettes and various floral motifs. In fox-brown border of angular floral sprays and rosettes between ribbon, barber-pole and plain stripes, approx: 186cm x 150cm. Very good design and well balanced colours. This rug has good pile, soft wool quality. Salvages original. Ends with original kilim and fringes. In general this rug is in very good usable condition. Popular type in present market.
