A MISCELLANEOUS GROUP OF SIX ISLAMIC BRONZE VESSELS
Egypt, Anatolia and Iran, 12th - 14th century and later

Comprising three shallow bronze bowls, one plain and the other two with calligraphic and decorative bands around the rim, sides and base, the largest 21cm diam. and 7cm high; a miniature Ottoman bronze mortar standing on three feet, 7.5cm diam. and 7cm high; a small circular gilt bronze dish with everted rim, engraved with floral and geometric patterns, 18.2cm diam. and 3.5cm high; and a large cylindrical Ottoman bronze mortar, resting on a flat base with a convex circular boss, rising to a wide everted rim, 18.5cm diam. and 13cm high.
