A mid-20^th century Iraqi silver and niello cigarette case, Basra or Omara dated 1958

of curved rectangular with rounded corners. The front with a scene with a niello scene of the Tomb of Ezra, and a dhow sailing boat with palm trees, engraved with a device to the top left dated ١٩٥۸. The reverse with the Taq Kasra (Ruins of Ctesiphon) with Arabic below reading "Present of thr Iraq Army". Signed to the reverse.
