A CHINESE BLUE AND WHITE 'MASTER OF THE ROCKS' CUP AND SAUCER.

Qing Dynasty, Kangxi period.

The saucer painted with a solitary figure of a rider galloping in a continuous landscape, the rim with horseriders between trees and a band of pine branches, the rounded cup with a flared rim similarly painted, the interior with a small pavilion beside a large boulder, a pine band to the rim, the bases with a four character mark reading mei yu ya zhi, 6.3 - 9.8cm diameter.
