An early 20th century Chinese export silver mug, Shanghai circa 1920, marked Kai, retailed Wang Hing of Canton and Hong Kong

Republic period. Of tapering cylindrical form with a loop handle, with cast and applied decoration of a dragon, against a spot hammered ground. Gilt interior. Marked underneath with artisan mark 開 (KAI), numeral 90, and retailer’s mark WH.

Height – 10.6 cm / 4.15 inches

Weight – 286 grams / 9.2 ozt
