A Christian VII late 18th century Danish silver inkstand, Copenhagen 1774 by C.W, Christian Werum (active 1760-92)
Of oval form raised upon four splay feet, heightened with engine turned decoration. Fitted with three removable bottle rests, containing two silver mounted glass inkwells, each with domed hinged lids, the centre with a removable domed lid. Marked underneath with town mark, zodiac sign and assayers mark for Christian Fabricius (1749-87).
