A CHINESE FAMILLE ROSE CANTON ENAMEL BARBER'S BOWL AND WATER JUG.

Qing Dynasty, 18th Century.

The oval bowl finely painted with a shaped panel of Mandarin Ducks on a lotus pond against a red ground with white blossoms, the cavetto with panels of wildflowers, the rim with large butterflies and flower heads and a band of key fret, the flared jug with a shaped rim similarly painted, with the base shaped as a nautilus conch, set with a C-shaped handle and raised on a tall foot with a bulging section and a flared foot, 41cm across, 27cm H.
