A FINE BOKHARA RUG, TURKMENISTAN

The rust field with three columns of linked floral guls devided by cruciform motifs. In rust field with sun-burst octagons and small jewellery motifs, between kotchak, barber-pole and plain stripes. Hooked lozenge skirt at each end, approx. 179cm x 117cm. Classic for this type with very well drawn design. This rug has full pile. Salvages original. Ends with short fringes, touches of wear at one end, second end part fraying to the kilim. In general good usable condition. Popular type.
