A pair of early 20th century German 935 standard silver and ivory figural ornaments, import marks for London 1927 by T C & Son Ltd, probably Thomas Callow & Son’s
Each of the same form, showing a standing knight contrapposto with a shaped shield resting in one arm embossed with a scene of an armoured monarch with a sword, the other arm supporting a pike. Dressed in a full suit of armour, (visors deficient), the moustached man’s faces made of worked ivory. The knights standing on a circular terrace textured as grass atop of a square pedestal base with canted corners, the sides with pierced and embossed decoration of floral vignettes reserved in scrolls. Stamped ‘935’ to reverse and with import marks to base sides. (2)
