Arabic manuscript on paper, 272ff. plus seven fly leaves, each folio with 18ll. of black ink naskh script, with red diacritic marks, notes on the correct manner of ingesting the sacred earth of Imam Hossein’s tomb in Karbala prior to the main text, the opening bifolio with gold and polychrome illumination, gold aya markings, chapter headings in red ink, catchwords, library stamps, within red, gold, and blue rules, marbled end papers, in blind-tooled rose calf binding, the text panel 7.5cm x 4.4cm, the folio 9.7cm x 5.5cm.
