TWO LOOSE POLYCHROME-ENAMELLED QAJAR RULERS' MINIATURE PORTRAITS
Qajar Iran, mid to late 19th century

Comprising a small circular polychrome enamel painted miniature portrait of the last Qajar Shah, Ahmad Shah Qajar (1898 - 1930), wearing a tall black astrakhan kaj-kolah headdress with a tall white aigrette on the forehead, 1.8cm diam; and an oval miniature portrait of a young Qajar prince, possibly Bahman Mirza (1810 - 1884), wearing a gold-embroidered gem-studded coat and princely crown, 4cm x 3cm.
