TWO LOVE SCENES WITH RADHA AND KRISHNA

Opaque pigments, black ink and gold on wove paper, the vertical composition depicting a chronological succession of events featuring the encounter of Radha and Krishna on a terrace in a palatial complex on the lower left corner, and an intimate scene of the two lovers in the bed chamber at night on the upper right corner, at the top an inscription in black and red ink Devanagari script against ochre yellow ground, the painting set within black rules and yellow and bright red borders, 25.5cm x 22cm.
