A group of early 20th century Iranian (Persian) silver flatware, Isfahan circa 1920, mark of Ja’far
Late Qajar dynasty, comprising four dessert spoons and two dessert forks. Fiddle pattern with engraved ghalam zani decoration of floral sprays within a scrolling border. Each engraved with initials JM to the reverse. Marked to the forks and one spoon with workshop mark Amal-e Ja'far عمل جعفر (the work of Ja’far). (6)

The initials are for Joseph Moshi (c.1885 - 1940), an Iraqi industrialist and Jewish philanthropist based in Baghdad, thence by descent.
