Iran, second half 19th century
Each of typical umbrella-like shape, resting on a stepped square base, rising to a tapering shaft with a dome-like structure splaying from the middle, the narrow neck ending in an everted flattened rim, the exterior decorated with engraved rosettes, arabesques, vegetal festoons and intertwined split palmette trellis, all outlined and highlighted by gold-inlaid floral stems, 28.7cm x 12.5cm.
