A pair of early 20th century Thai (Siamese) silver and niello footed bowls, Phra Nakhon, Bangkok circa 1930
Each of tapering square form with re-entrant corners, the screw fixed pedestal bases of stepped form. Niello decoration all over, theppanom figures to each side within flame scrolls, repeated frame scroll and rosettes decoration to the bases. Each with an applied plaque to the interior of base in Thai probably reading “Amaraporn Saphantukkadin, Dinso Road, Phra Nakhom, Siam”. Each marked to edge with French swan control mark (used 1893-1970). (2)
