A late 19th century German silver coffee pot, Hanau circa 1880 by J.D. Schleissner & Sohne
Baluster form upon four scroll legs with chased female mask junctions. The removable turned ivory handle at a right angle to the spout with a theatrical female mask junction. The body with embossed decoration of rocaille work and foliate scroll cartouches. The domed hinged lid surmounted by a flower form finial. Marked underneath with Hanau marks and Dutch tax mark (used 1814-93).
