A SMALL SILVER REPOUSSÉ LIDDED SNUFF BOX
Possibly Sri Lanka or South East Asia, mid to late 19th century
Of elongated oval shape with gently cusped short sides, resting on a flat base, the repoussé lid worked with scrolling vegetal meanders and rosette trellis, the central cusped medallion with a double-headed eagle, stylised rosette medallions decorating the outer sides, 10cm x 6.5cm x 3cm, weighs 60g.
