A CHINESE MOULDED GOURD 'BAJIXIANG' CUP.
Probably 17th Century.
The rounded body deeply impressed with eight evenly spaced rectangular panels enclosing Buddhist emblems, between a lipped rim and foot, the base impressed with a circular cash design, 4cm H, 5cm diameter.
Provenance: an English private collection since 1990s.
