A GROUP OF GOLD-SET PEARL AND TURQUOISE-ENCRUSTED DRESS ORNAMENTS
Northern India, 18th - 19th century

The convex circular buttons of radiating star design in gold, five with seed pearls and mother-of-pearl tesserae with cabouchon turquoise centres, seven set with turquoise cabouchons, a matching belt buckle of a twin button construction with hidden fastening, a set of six convex circular gold cuff buttons set with seed pearls and mother-of-pearl tesserae around turquoise centres, the whole set mounted onto a red velvet board, framed, 25cm x 33.5cm including the frame, the buckle 3.5cm x 6.5cm, the buttons 3.2cm, the cuff buttons 2cm.
