A CHINESE BRONZE 'MYTHICAL BEAST' INCENSE BURNER AND COVER.

Qing Dynasty.

With a row of lappets encircling the splayed foot, rising to a flared body cast with mythical beasts frolicking among rolling waves and with two lion head handles suspending rings, the domed cover pierced and cast with two pairs of dragons and phoenix among scrolling clouds, incised with an eight character Qianlong mark along the wide rim, surmounted by a finial in form of a coiled dragon, all raised on a wood stand, 30.5cm H, 20cm across, 5.10kg. (3)
