A PAIR OF THAI ENGRAVED CEREMONIAL BRASS VASES
Thailand, South East Asia, 19th century
Each of elongated pyriform shape, resting on a circular gently stepped foot, and rising to an everted neck with a stepped lid and pointed finial, the body and foot engraved with a repeated grid of cusped cartouches filled with stylised lotus flower motif, each register decreasing in size as the body rises to the neck, each tier of the lid decorated with floral bands, 41cm high.
