Ming Dynasty and later, and Meiji Period, Late 19th Century, signed Kimura Toun (Murata Seimin II)

明代及後期 木雕人物坐像兩件

Comprising a figure carved as a seated official dressed in long flowing robes bearing traces of gilt lacquer, and a figure of a seated Buddha set within a foliate frame, raised on a wood base, together with a Japanese bronze censer of compressed cylindrical form and raised on a quartet of ruyi-form feet, the upper body with a protruding band cast with flowerheads, the base with a rectangular cartouche bearing a Kimura Toun mark

the figures 14.5 - 16cm high;

the bronze censer 14cm diameter, weight approx. 612g
