(1769-1847) half length all inscribed with the names of the sitters pencil and red chalk 25 x 19.5 cm  mounted, unframed (3) FOOTNOTE: Jeremiah Meyer R.A. was a miniature painter, Nathaniel Marchant R.A. was an engraver of intaglios and Henry Howard was a painter. George Dance was an architect and portrait draughtsman who is known to have drawn 322 portraits. The present set were part of a series which were later published as soft-ground etchings by William Daniell in 1854.
