A CHINESE HARDWOOD-INLAID BRUSHPOT, BITONG.

Qing Dynasty.

The plain cylindrical body inlaid with mother-of-pearl, malachite and soapstone with the Laughing Buddha carrying a walking stick and standing on top of a large sack, 9.5cm H.

Provenance: English private collection, acquired in China in the early 20th Century, thence by descent.
