A SILVER-GILT LIDDED OFFERING BOWL
Possibly Thailand or Cambodia, South East Asia, late 19th century
Of typical rounded shape with narrowing shoulders and base, resting on a short splayed foot, the lid with a circular everted grip, the highly chased exterior decorated with sprays vegetal trellis and floral bouquets, the exterior gilt, the interior plain silver, the base stamped with a central reverted 'S' flanked by two stylised flowers, 12cm high and 12cm diam.
