A group of eight Iznik-style pottery tiles and a copper lustre-painted wall tile
Ottoman Provinces, mid to late 19th century

Comprising eight Iznik-style pottery tiles, of square shape, painted in cobalt blue, green and black on white ground, each with a central stylised lotus flower surrounded by a border of overlapping rosettes, a lobed green band, and further ring of fleshy leaves, to each corner rosette stems and to one side a stylised green tulip, the largest 17cm x 15.5cm; and a rectangular tile, painted with copper lustre, turquoise and cobalt blue, with moulded inter-linking vegetal spray motifs, 23.5cm x 11cm.
