A VERY LARGE TIBETAN PAINTED WOOD 'DRAGON' CHEST

17th - 18th Century

十七至十八世紀 木加彩龍紋箱

Painted and incised to the front with a confronting ferocious dragon holding a flamming pearl, all within a rectangular medallion, all framed by further roundels of characters, foliate spandrels and a scrolling floral border, all reserved on a red ground.
