AN EARLY 18TH CENTURY OAK CASED LONGCASE CLOCK, SIGNED JOHN SNELLING, ALTON, the case with three quarter columns to the hood, over a plain trunk and plinth base, the 12 inch square brass dial with gilt pierced spandrels and silvered Roman chapter ring, the centre with subsidiary dial and chamfered date aperture flanked by engraved acanthus leaves and signed 'John Snelling ALTON', the eight day, weight driven movement with anchor escapement striking on a bell, with pendulum and two weights,
