A mid-19th century Austrian (Polish) 800 standard silver sugar box (zukerdose), Lemberg (Lviv / Lwów) circa 1875, makers mark IV or AI ligatured in an oval
Of bombe rectangular form with a hinged domed fluted lid with a cavetto edge. The body with half fluted decoration and incurved panels. Gilt interior. Marked underneath with assay (post-1872) and makers mark, assay mark only to lid thumbpiece.
