Venard's artwork is distinguished by strong geometric compositions along with thick impasto which has been richly applied on to the canvas with a palette knife and often scraped away, as showcased in the present example. The scraffito designs created in the wet paint and bold colourful compositions captures the Vernard’s own spirit.
