A large group of albums, loose letters, envelopes and clipped autographs signed by various statesmen, aristocrats, officers, clergymen, actors and authors, including: Cardinal Thomas Weld (autograph letter to Charles Stanley expressing his condolences on the death of his nephew, some splitting, 18th November 1834), Joseph Barney (autograph letter expressing his wish to be elected "an associate of the Royal Academy", 27 January 1800), Agnes Strickland, Sir Frederick Arthur Gore Ouseley, George Edmund Street (letter informing his recipient he has been elected on the Committee, July 1857), William Black, Thomas Duffus Hardy, Archibald Campbell Tait (Archbishop of Canterbury), George Alexander, Ernest Raymond, Clara Butt, Sir Henry Thompson (autograph letter confirming his attendance), Robert Hooper, Adam Sedgwick, William Jenner, James Paget, Joseph Chamberlain, Paul Metternich, Joseph Napier, Jan Kubelík, Mattia Battistini, Herbert Samuel (typed letter saying "At the outset of the first meeting of the Liberal Parliamentary Party held on Wednesday, very warm thanks were expressed to you and Allendale for the manner in which you had taken charge of the situation at headquarters at the time of the dissolution and during the General Election", 5 November 1931), Anthony Hope Hawkins, Sarah Doudney, William MacCormac, Violet Vanbrugh, Francis Paget and many others, early 19th- 20th century.
