A LARGE AND IMPRESSIVE LATE 19TH CENTURY GILT BRONZE AND MALACHITE FIGURAL MANTEL CLOCK GARNITURE the clock case fitted into the malachite plinth base (malachite later) and raised on four gilt bronze feet, surmounted by a gilt bronze figure of a reclining maiden seated on a chair with an open book on her lap, signed by 'Moreau', the gilt bezel enclosing the dial with applied gilt Roman numerals, indistinctly signed '*** PARIS',  the twin train movement with outside countwheel striking on a bell, with pendulum, the garniture candelabra modelled as standing classical maidens, each supporting a branch with five acanthus wrapped arms centred by a straight sixth branch, on conforming bases,  the clock 57cm high the candelabra 70cm high (3) The movement winds, ticks and strikes but not fully tested or guaranteed.
